Data Miner - Product Overview
Data Miner is a powerful OLAP cube data analysis tool that allows users to slice and dice their information for flexible, fast and accurate reporting.
Information is made available to Data Miner via an automated process which uses BMD, Enterprise and Timesheet Desktop data to populate and build data sets also known as ‘Cubes’.
This data is provided in self-contained data cubes which can be distributed as a standalone data set tailored to your internal needs or the needs of your clients. Users can create and save template views to assist with updating all their reports on a regular basis. Cubes can also be published to the Internet, emailed to additional parties, stored locally or transferred via removable media if required for further analysis.
Some examples of the cubes which are typically produced for Data Miner are: Timesheet Cubes – allows users to analyse all Approved time by Employee. With useful data available such as whether the time was billable, non billable, the cost and charge out rates, users can build a view to easily and quickly monitor their staff utilisation.
- Timesheet Cubes – allows users to analyse all Approved time by Employee. With useful data available such as whether the time was billable, non billable, the cost and charge out rates, users can build a view to easily and quickly monitor their staff utilisation.
- General Ledger Cubes – this is an extract of all financial data which incorporates actual and budget information to allow users to create dynamic views of their financial position. You also have the ability to drill down by Division, Client and Product all the way through to Job number and Cost Type, allowing you to compare current and prior years data at the click of a button.
- Expenditure Cube: Provides top line media expenditure reporting with the ability to analyse gross media spend by a range of parameters. This cube is particularly useful during negotiations as you can quickly look at your spend pattern over a nominated period by network or master network in dollars or as a percentage.
- Media Invoice Cube: Similar to invoice summary reporting, the Invoice Cube allows you to look at your invoice information and drill down by client, product and right down to schedule/invoice number.
- CPM Cube: Using data from the BMD post analysis module this cube allows you to view your client’s/agency’s booked vs actual CPM data focussing particularly on trends across years, quarters or months.
